I just bought a used Telwin Digital Mig 180; I took it apart, cleaned it and put it back together.
One thing worries me; I installed a nice 5kg spool of Lincoln Ultra Mag, installed the wire through the wire feed, manually inserted the first inches in a brand new Binzel torch, screwed the torch, switched the welder on, triggered the torch and.. nothing, just a strong "Click" inside the welder.
Unless I am missing something, I believed that I just had to press the trigger on the torch to start the spool rotation,...
Anyway I tried to weld a small piece of square tubing and I could make a strong weld (awful as I did not use any gaz and the arc was going in all directions), I had a decent arc and the spool did rotate.
1) do you know if this is normal for the welder (no spool rotation when torch is triggered, strong click inside the welder; I did look and touch many components but I could not feel which one was really "clicking").
