Hi all, back again after a long surgeon induced absence. Take care of your back being the moral of the story, Sciatica is a complete bitch.
Anyway, I just picked up an SWP 211 going cheap, only a few years old and looks in nice condition, but when I plugged the torch in it was dead. Quick check showed that one of the spring loaded pins was pushed in too far, fixed that and tried again. Now when I hit the trigger the solenoids go clonk so its making a circuit but the wire feed isn't showing any sign of life. All the internals look fine, it was a little dusty but I cleaned it out with air, being careful not to blow high pressure air anywhere near the control board. All the cable connections look nice and clean too, though I haven't taken any apart.
Does anyone have any experience of these machines? Anything I may have missed? All help gratefully received. Many thanks,
Julian
