no co2 and argon are different connectors
Cheers budno co2 and argon are different connectors
Make sure it's co2, not co2/nitrogen mix as used on cream flow beers, that's doesn't work.Al bottles of gas have generally the same connection? Just so happens have 2 uncles that own/manage 2 pubs so have a good chance of getting some co2 gas
So I need to make sure it's 100% co2 got it.Make sure it's co2, not co2/nitrogen mix as used on cream flow beers, that's doesn't work.
My recommendation?
Stop stressing
My mig will theoretically do 210A if I turn everything up to 11.
I run it on a 13A plug, just not at 11
I'll happily go up to about 6mm with it, anything thicker and I grab the mma.
It's not just machine mart either, I get similar at proper trade engineering supplies places. The thing is these kids actually think they know a dammed thingListen to those on here regarding what the machines will run off and pay no attention to Clarkes brochures or salesmen from the likes of Machine Mart, there is a separate forum for them called the 'I sell stuff I know nothing about forum'.
I have visited Machine Mart three times and been told an utter load of rubbish by the acne covered teenagers each time.
Clarkes up to the 160 (which is really a 150) are used by owners with normal household electrics, a few people find if used on full power they can pop the occasional fuse but the majority have no problems at all..including myself.
sorry mig wire just looks like copper wire to mecopper wire
Mine 180 16 on 13 amp plug not running now need a motor can’t find one any where britweld weld rite welderHey folks
Probably asked loads already but a suggestion on Mig welders that will safely run on a 13amp socket. From reading it's under 150amps i believe ? Just some odd work on 4-6mm metal...gates, barbacue, wheelbarrow some off bits to keep me entertained....gas and gasless preferably

A mate of mine used a pair of compasses - seriously! I wonder what their current rating isWell, if we're going to continue down the thread resurrection patch ( ) I feel duty bound to say that it's not the 13A fuse in the plug that will make the difference, rather than the C curve C16 MCB in the distribution board...
