No wonder, those welds look like it should have had another 10 or 20 ampsMade a mistake trying to use the 7018 3.2mm rods and for whatever reason they are a pain to light up. The 6013's burn much easier.
your welder is no good. 160A should be blowing the rods awayHmm I gave it a bit extra as its a big lump. The ones in photo were 1.6mm's I ran at 70A. The 7018's and 6013 3.2's I ran at 160A and they seemed ok once lit.
He wouldn't be able to feed enough rod at this current,or at least it's what happens to me...your welder is no good. 160A should be blowing the rods away
