Yesterday evening i applied a few coats of stonechip paint to the sills of my mk1 golf. I am respraying the whole car myself and it is currently in high build primer and it is over this that i applied the stonechip. I left it to dry overnight and when i went to have a look this morning large cracks had appeared, especially around steps or countours in the sill. The primer has been on for over a week so is pretty dry. Can anyone tell me what my have caused this and more importantly how to rectify the problem. I had planned on painting some more into the cracks with a brush and then a coat or two with the schultz gun? Any advice would be great. Cheers Jack.
