Noticed you can buy alloy rods for use with inverter stick welders. Worth a shot, or wasted cash?
Says the rods are designed to be used with a +ve electrode holder, and the machine should have an open circuit voltage of 60V or higher. Can someone explain that bit to me?
I bought an Aldi inverter with a range of 20 to 140A........but not sure about open circuit voltage.
Maybe I should just buy the TIG conversion kit?
