Hi guys,
I post quite a bit on here asking for comments and feedback, this isn't to try and satisfy a need of praise and or encouragement.....more just to see what people's views are and to see what I can take away from others as that's how I tend to learn best.
Anyway, now that's cleared up.....I've never asked for views on my steel mig work, mainly because I didn't do so much of it and therfore had no striking need to get better. However I'm doing more and more of it in my new job so what the hell.
You will notice I'm not welding hi spec items where aesthetics are important however I do strive to do my best work regardless.
I am a lorry/commercial vehicle mechanic, one of the companies we do work for are a recycling company. We maintain their fleet which includes welding/fabrication of the vehicle body's, sub chassis and the recycling bins which are fitted to the vehicle.
First picture was a simple job to weld up some of the doors on the bins, they asked for them just to be tacked up as health and safety now dictates that those doors are not to be used.
2nd picture is just a simple plate over a hole pierced in the floor of a scrap metal trailer.
3rd and 4th pictures are an example of what we occasionally do to repair the recycling bins which have been damaged. Reared to have that extent of damage to them but it's all similar work.
