Another little job. Havnt posted much in here of late, but i'll update this one as work proceeds.
300x100 box section stringers, 10mm thick folded treads and 10mm thick landing plates. 4 sets as in the photographs all hang off a central column, then 2 lots to make - 1 at each end of the building. Everything is seriously over engineered. We're on the limit of the o/h crane and the foklift moving this. I also met my SWL a couple of times throwing the treads around
Each unit weighs 1.3t when its all welded up, there's 18 tonne in the whole job. Balustrades will be fabbed in the shop, then site welded onto the stringers to avoid nooks and crannies
Took three of us a full day to make this, including fitting a few other bits in for other jobs
Nasty 80's lino hides all the lovely steelwork when its finished
