We use quite a few stainless nuts and set screws at work...m4 I don't care about but just lately we've moved up to m24.
I find stainless(316) a right pain when nuts and bolts/set screws are both the same grade as loads of them cold weld (galling).
I asked the suppliers fit different grades of s/s in an attempt to minimise galling but it seems we get whatever we are given.
What is the best lubricant to stop the threads binding?
If the pic will post..here's what we have been knocking together fir the last couple of days...
