got some synthetic from jawel paints for the tiger bodywork, as it had been sprayed with this before. needed a few repairs and a keying, but Ive made an absolute ******** of spraying it. first of all it was very lemon peely, and I think I put too much paint on as it was running off like syrup. secondly, the colour is RAL2004 pure orange, which seems very translucent, where I have rubbed bits back to the primer, or put bits of filler on,, you could see it through the paint.
If I had my time again, I wish I have used barcoat, primer and celly, but hindsight is wonderful. so how do I salvage the paintjob, tried to sand a couple of runs, but they arent quite hard yet and were just rolling up.
intention is to key back again and a couple of light coats, but what gun pressure should I be using ( gravity fed gun with 1.8mm nozzle) and how much should the paint be thinned. also should I heat the unit where I am painting ??
