My Parweld torch I used on the TecArc came with the very first Tig I had (Parweld Analogue type), must have been 10 years old when it went with the TecArc and it never had an issue. The R-Tech torch however, which are knock offs of the Parweld design, broke its wire after two days so I ended up soldering it direct to the switch
I'm a big fan of new generation multifunction torches that use digital signals over the two trigger wires. Not available on anything but high end sets though so far.
Yes, think I have seen them on the Lorch stuff.
The GYS Neopulse has some controls on the push/pull torch but not sure how it works or what it actually does, didn't read up on it much.
Electronics are getting very robust nowadays, some of the stuff on the small fishing boats take a real beating and constantly get plastered with salt water and they last a long time, even the tracker I have on the dog withstands regular swims in the sea
.
EWM has it on its X-Net and Multi matrix sets too, which is nice as I thought Lorch had us beat on that one.
It's a full time job keeping up with who's kit does what these days!
Oh thanks fellas.
You've given me plenty to think about, really appreciate it.
I have no idea yet when I'll be starting on the Copper cooker hood project, I've got a whole load of Oak bedroom furniture to make first.
However, my table saw does need a new frame, might build it as a combination machine with a planer/thicknesser.
But either way, I enjoying the forum, so I'm staying.
Thanks for making me feel welcome.
