Picking through what mate.I think its a case of picking through it now Richard, but then the question remains about the warranty. If its lifetime then its only the inconvenience is waiting for the replacement.
Dunno about now as mine are still newish so I can't really say if they are that good but the old Williams screwdrivers that snap on used to badge knocked the spots off wera stuff.id love to see a snapon screwdriver last me over a year. there not that good wera are better and they only last just over a year and are only 4 quid not 15
I've just got a couple of Klauke terminals. Have you tried them yet? They are awsome. They seem to take pressure without twisting much better Than others I've had. Be interesting to see your opinion on them if you get chance.id love to see a snapon screwdriver last me over a year. there not that good wera are better and they only last just over a year and are only 4 quid not 15
In theory thats great but if you are like me and rarely see a Snap On man it becomes difficult to get anything changed, if you are a regular spending money all the time they are much more helpful. How can anyone knock snapon tools? Everything I have ever had to change has been done immediately, stuff like the ratchets have got to be the cheapest on the planet after about ten new gear sets which are all free. I cant see the problem with the price if the tools are in daily use and you get the regular visits from the man in the van.
Have your cake and eat it

I haven't seen one at the last 4 jobs in 20 odd years, the local men near home didn't last long, the guy who took over is helpful but I have to try and track him down on my day off, so whilst I like some of the stuff I no longer buy it new.
Regarding country of oragin they have been making it all over the place for many years my first strong bar from 30 years ago was made in Mexico
Yes those are the Williams screwdrivers. Those are JD William screwdrivers I feel the best in the world, Snap on now own them, Paid about £60 for mine Via Ebay
Can't argue with that. Every single item I've taken in for warranty replacement has undergone the typical snap on full inspection followed by questions based on the usage. Tbf I've not broken much of it at all as it does take heavy use really well but that's not the point. Pay a premium you expect replacements to be much less hassle.the trouble is nowadays the Philips dry wall screws are hardened and trashes the points on the screwdriver rather quickly the only time snapon replace them is if the guy on the van busts the ends off and returns them ordinary wear and most wont unless u buy stuff of them
