This may go on a bit but I'm looking for advice on how to join stainless sheet together. I decided that a new lamp cover was required to replace the "Mazak"? one fitted to the number plate lamps as they corrode quickly even after plating from a piece of stainless sheet
making a template from paper I realised shrinking it to form the shape was required and that it was something I had never tried before.
Here's my progress so far
This is how I got there
Clamping the sheet over the old cover I hit it with sideways glansing blows of the smallest hammer I had
This shrunk the sheet and the shape began to appear, unfortunately a bit dented, so I had the idea of making up a small English Wheel to smooth things out a little

Then smoothing further with a file and whet and dry
And a quick polish
