We do as well but I tell my wife that cleaning is her job, but it's okay she punches like a girl too. ;-)

all these panels are built and fixed by mastic life on most i have even seen goes black in places after 4 years max not long after water gets behind by the time you know about it you have a bow in the ceiling down stairs damp paches on wood work and a damp smell that never seams to go in the room

best way i do it if you got a plasterboard wall rip the plasterboard off where a bath or shower unit

new green board skim plaster quick white wash paint / 20 percent water to seal

fit bath/ shower tray with mastic round all sides to any wall then tile than 2nd mastic to seal by the time this faills they will be replacing the bathroom

We have it in two shower rooms and 1 bathroom. Two have been fitted for 15years and the other 10years. Just taken one of the 15 years boards out and no damp on the board or the wall. I use no more nails (or similar) to fix to the walls after applying PVA to the plasterboard.

agree they prob can be good if well fitted but am old school even though im a bit younger tiles been working for years only problem is the grout but if cleaned often last as long as a bathroom should

i dont even like all this plastic pipe and the new push fit fittings mates got them under the kitchen sink he moans about them all the time he was working and adding a new washing mechine fitting cut the pipe installed the stuff was new 4 years ago put all back together the new fitting was fine one of the joints was small weep nothing he could do but to remove and fit a new one

few months later his otherhalf was pushing stuff in the same place under the sink and found a small amout of water turns out another one was weeping he put it down to as they put stuff in and out of the couboard was knocking the pipe that was enought for it to brake one seal

I'm a pushfit diy plumber these days, if it's accessible it get's push fit fittings and I haven't (touch wood) had any issues. I use them on plastic or copper pipe.

im to nurvy for them solder joints all the way untill the taps

only problems i have ever had has always been with push fits and compression fit most of the compresson fit just needed a tweek or at most split and ptfe

what i dont like about the push fit is you cant do any thing to fix its just replace

Shower board in this weekend and shower enclosure all done. Just some tiling, couple of new lights to fit and painting and the ensuite will be done. The boss is happy but upstairs bathroom to do also once this is done. Couldn't get a decent pic.

A few choice phoncalls and the correct ones are en route, so glad the customer is away!

Looking good, I prefer them to tiles

The insert shelf is tiled, the boss wanted it like that for shampoo and stuff, apparently the floor isn't a suitable place for shampoo.
