I haven't done any welding before, but from what I've read it sounds like repairing my Landrover chassis would be easiest with a MIG.
My local motor factor has a Sealey Supermig 185 at under £400 new (the last of a job lot he bought).
Looking around on the web this seems like a really good deal. However, I've seen mixed views on Sealey on the forum. You all seem to rate the Portamigs, but where can I find one, and would I have to pay much more for a similar model? Is there anything else I should look at. It would only get occasional use, and I'm on a tight budget, but realise that welding will be much harder with a low quality machine.
I only have normal electrics in the garage, so need to be able to run on an ordinary 13a plug (I guess?)
Thanks
