hi welder paul how did you do the lock and handle my gates have a hasp and staple have ing a handle would be so much bette
The handle/lock is pre made and is fixed by drilling two 20mm holes on the inside face of the box section frame and two 24mm holes on the outside. Two bushes then screw through the box section into the lock, so all fixings are concealed. Just drill two holes in the opposite leaf of the gate to receive the locking bars.
The trade name is 'Locinox'. Available from any places which sell scrolls, rail heads etc.
nice, you got a set of power rolls to get that rad on the top?
I use North Valley Forge sometimes.
Nice gates Paul.
I hate painting aswell, try and persuade people to go galv'd or powdercoated.
We use Barrett Steel in Bradford. Sure there would be a branch nearer you, but if not, they will post it for you if you want. Their number is 01274 682281

Nice gates Paul. Where do the finials come from (same place - Barretts?), and how do they attach?
We've a supplier in Edinburgh - Wisharts - who do all that ironwork component stuff.
Dean, there must be loads of suppliers in brum, surely? You might need the Black country phone book though!
