Hello I teach a subject called industrial technology to kids aged 14-16 yrs10&11. Most of the work work we do involves machine work and bench work and it is designed to give them the basic skills they need. I have been fortunate enough to secure a small grant of £800 to kick start a small welding program that will start next September. I all ready have a good welding bay with extraction but I need advice of the best way to go about doing this. I Will have a group of 24 kids and I want each one to experience welding, I plan on giving them 3 hours per week over 2-3 week to get familiar with the equipment.
So what do you recommend I do? What welding should I go for MIG, TIG or Arc how many machines will I get for the money? (I have the majority of the safety equipment so any extra will come out of a separate budget)
Hope you can help
