I put my address and home phone number on the Mailing Preference Service This sounds like you are signing up to get more mail, but the opposite is true. Most reputable companies do abide by the list, obviously some dont. But i can safely say that since our number was put on, our spam telephone calls have been reduced by a good 75%. or more and we get much less junk mail than our relatives, though it isnt as effective as the telephone one.
