Does anyone know much about self levelling screeds & their strength?
Basically I'm considering using it on a portion of a workshop floor, to give me a level area to lay out large jobs on / draw on etc.
I asked the landlord about potentially digging up a portion of the floor to relay a concrete slab, but they seemed a bit nervous about that & preferred the idea of laying something over the top.
I said a lip at the sides would be a problem for me, so they suggested I slope it off at the sides.
What I'm wondering is how thick does a screed need to be? Does it just crack if you drop something heavy on it? If I flaunch the sides, is that likely to just break if I wheeled a heavy trolley over it etc...
Cheers for any words of wisdom!
