Getting the air con on my trooper fixed FOC (well apart from what it costs me in beer!). I went to see an old friend at the weekend and it turns out he's now a fully qualified heating/AC engineer and he just happens to have all the kit to find my leak, vacuum it out, oil and re-gas my non working system. He even has a large bottle of the drop in replacement for the R12 my system was originally charged with. He fitted A/C from scratch to his disco and has had -7C at the vents from it on this gas so he's very kindly going to sort mine out before we go to France for a month in July.
That should keep the kids cool if we get stuck in a jam like the year before last. You know its bad when after you've been almost stationary for about half an hour you come close enough to see a sign that says (in French!) Queue, 21KMs! This was on the autoroute between Paris and Orleans.
