Can you help, I decided to use a combination of rust buster FE 123 and custom 421 primer off you to treat a body shell post media blasting. Upon return from the blasters (dry conditions and same day) I had more engrained rust than I expected (everywhere) that I did not want to encapsulate in primer so I treated as much as I could with Fe123. As I did not have sufficient quantity and it was over a weekend I rang the supplier to take advice as I was concerned about flash rust on untreated metal. I was advised to purchase more fe123 to finish treating and any flash rust. I did this as per the instructions ( drying time and keyed surface). I seem to have made the situation worse
The panels I have treated and part treated but not primered have more rust than the bare steel
There appears to be rust bleeding through the primer, esp in areas that were thin or not fully coated
The primer is micro blistering
The following panels show some of my concerns. I am now left with a car with more rust than i started Please can anyone explain what is going on here and how to proceed... I don't see I have any choice but to start again
Box section on left is untreated steel
Bottom is unprimered fe123
Bare steel is bare, treated steel appears to have corroded.
