Hi all....I've recently finished adapting my CNC machine to use with my Rtech cutter....took some doing but I got there!
I need to cut a lot of quite complicated shapes in 2mm mild steel but I'm having some problems with rough edges and very hard to remove kerf on the underneath of the cut.
I have emailed Rtech twice on their technical website for advice but got no response.
I'm using 20 - 25 amps and cutting 2mm height at around 1000mm per minute. Because the plasma 'case hardens' the edge I'm finding it very difficult to file the edges smooth.....I want to (need to) sell these products but they are just too rough.
Anyone used this plasma on a CNC or any ideas of best current, height and speed settings for 2mm.....be grateful for any help!!
