Thanks for that. I am making a petrol tank out of 1050a and I have been told that i need to use 4043A although this is very similar i shall not be using it for this aplication but i am sure it will come in handy for other projects.
1050 wire would be a much better choice for welding 1050 or 3103 base alloys. It is slightly less forgiving to weld with (4xxx series wires least prone to hot/solidification cracking) but superior for this sort of application almost everywhere else- more ductile, better colour match, welds can be planished without cracking
