Is there any easy way to restore a faded red non metallic paint? work truck so not worth throwing huge amounts of time and labour into, but would be nice if it wasn't quite so pink.

Compounds like T-cut or whatever are just an abrasive that cuts off the oxidised top layer, the colour does beggar all except help sell it. Might be worth getting a twenty quid electric polisher and a litre bottle of either 3M Fastcut or Farecla G6 and have at it.
Or even better if you have a sander that goes down to around 2k revs, get a couple of foam polishing heads for it. The code varies but white is usually hard, black is soft. I'd prob get a blue and either red or black.
This way you spend less and have the gear to re-do it again when it needs it next... A decent wax like a Meguiars or 3M will help fight off the UV too.
Daughter's old Corsa had this problem turning pink. We used to use Colour Magic on it every couple of months but it always faded again when the shine wore off.
