My Triumph has a problem with peeling lacquer in places, which is the result of a cheap partial respray about 5 years ago. The rest of the car hasn't been painted since I bought it, so I don't know what type of paint it is.
I want to respray the whole car next year to give it a decent finish and also to finally get it into one shade of blue!
Ideally I'd do the painting myself as I have some experience of cellulose painting, but I'm unsure what the implications are for paint compatability. Would I be best to get the whole car back to bare metal or could I cut the paint back and apply cellulose on top?
Thanks
Nick
