Hi;
I need to replace the Earth Lead on my Clarke 160 EN Gas/Gasless Mig Welder.
The Earth Lead on mine has become twisted and is to short anyway.
Found this post and was involved in it, but I am still confused as to what size / rating cable I need, it talks about measuring the cross section of the existing cable and uping it a bit??
I changed the Earth Clamp a while back but I can't remember whether it was 100Amp or 200Amp? I bought it from Wellington Welding Plymouth.
So in a nutshell:
1. What rating of cable should I get?
2. What rating of Clamp is required?
3 Any recommended suppliers?
My father in law is a retired electrician and still has some contacts so maybe I can get some discount but I need to know what I am getting.
Many thanks
