I have bought a lathe - hurrah. I need to collect the lathe - hurrah.
The engine crane I'm borrowing has a failed ram.
I'd like to replace it - but as it's my neighbours - I get to borow it whenever I may need - I don't want to spend a fortuen on it.
Looking on Ebay - there are LOADS at £38 - £45 but thy all have a C type lower clevis - and the one on the crane at the moment has a C mounted on the frame (With 19mm pin).
Is there an 'easy' way of converting a C to a C if that makes sense - I'm wondering about a bar with 19mm hole to go in the clevis - and a 12mm hole or whatever for the new ram.
OR Ideally - find a ram with a male part to fit in the clevis.
Any ideas where to look please?
