morning all.
just wondering on your thoughts about tig welding a crack in a shotgun barrel.
obvious rules of crack repair wold be to drill holes at either end, possibly groove it out a bit, make sure it is clean, purge the barrel and so on, but do you think it is feasible to repair a steel shotgun barrel using tig and the relevant filler?
or will it just distort and ruin the barrel?
I would take it to a gunsmith but my local one has a broken hand at the moment and doesn't know when he is going to be able to start up again.
I haven't bought the shotgun yet, and if its not repairable I wont be
