Good evening all, I wonder if any of the knowledgeable people could shed some light on a problem with our works van?
A few weeks ago the Mil light came on along with "check emissions " and "check injection" after it was being a pig to start one cold morning.
I plugged in my diagnostics reader and got the codes p0100 maf sensor fault and p0670 glow plug module.
Tonight I finally got round to having a look and I'm leaning towards the glow plug relay as there is 12 volts going in via a chunky cable but I get a constant 6 volts at all the glow plugs whether the ignition is on or off.
If I turn off the mil light I still get the check emissions and check injection message then the Mil light comes back on pretty soon.
The van starts and runs fine although can be a pig to start when the weather is really cold (when the glow plugs are needed the most). During the cold starting it kicks out a lot of smoke which I assume is un burnt diesel which I suppose could be causing the check emissions.
Thoughts please before I investigate further?
