I think you'll find that support will damage the tree, the re-bar will dig in to the bark & over time wind movement will strip it & leave an open wound, any fungal spores will enter & may kill tree. the point loading is too great .
You could weld some flat strip onto re-bar to spread the load & put some thick rubber strip to cushion, I use old branches with a Y fork & rubber (but no welding involved )
