Realise this is a "how long is a piece of string" question, but for a pro (i.e. all the proper paperwork for when we eventually sell the house down the line), how much do we think something like this would cost:
- 70m run of 10mm swa (OUCH!) clipped to fence, but also going through a double skin brick wall to get there
- 4-way fuseboard in shed
- ring main for sockets (10-12 double sockets, but half of them in dado trunking, and 4 of them next to each other in normal plasterboard)
- external light circuit (i provide the lights)
- internal light circuit for x 3 (i provide the lights)
- 1x 16 amp socket
- 1x external socket on a spur
Parts-wise I think it adds up to about 7-800 (mainly the expense is the 10mm cable and ~100 for the fuseboard)
All the cabling inside the shed is either in conduit, or in plasterboard walls which still have full access because only one side of the walls are clad.
I don't expect anyone to work for free, obviously, but equally I don't want to get taken for a ride. For example, if I were quoted 2000 for the above bits, would that sound outrageous? It cannot be more than two days worth of work, right?
