Hi,
I have a repair panel to spray up on my old(ish) Alfa. I repainted the car in 2K paint around 6 years ago - I more recently bought a tin of colour for it but at the moment it is not convenient to get to a compressor and appropriate setup for spraying.
I have a can of spray Hycote filler primer; can I brush on the 2K colour over this primer or will I get a nasty reaction? I guess if it is thinned enough then sanding it flat after a week or two won't be too difficult..
Another option: Do all custom colour rattle can colour paints from the likes of Halfords need a lacquer coat or can they be bought as a top coat too?
When I did the 2K colour I did not use lacquer - its just a colour topcoat.
Many thanks for any advice.
Jack
