So, as some of you know, this is the sort of thing i usually do -
etc.
Its all cnc engraved / milled onto anodised alluminum - low setup per-job cost, but the jobs dont scale well.
(ill get to the point in a moment....)
My new workshop isnt finished yet at all, but i spent some of the day today re-assebling this -
....silk screen printing.
To the point -
For bulk jobs, im going to outsource to a laser firm for cutting, and then screen the parts here.
All well and good, but i have a customer who specifically wants a painted (not anodised) finish.
So, im thinking ill get the parts cut in cheap, raw aluminum, and then paint them before printing.
I suspect he may really like a (slightly) textured finish. It cant be too textured, or it will mess up the print, so im not talking schultz guns, but what should i expect if i use a normal gun?
I cant remember what it is, but i have one of those devilbis spot repair things. I figure i could lay out a load of parts on rails, and do all the faces and sides in one go.
So, my three questions are -
What sort of finish should i expect from Raptor through the fore mentioned gun?
Would i need an etch primer, epoxy primer, or nothing at all?
And, is the gun mentioned suitable (i cant even remember what nozzle i have in it)
Thank you.
