So today was a story of two halfs.
@Ruffian parcel arrived and I got to work on the bronze bearing.
Turned down the OD (interference fit) and parted off, after a bit of work with the press. All positive stuff
Back to the lathe and start work on widening out, using some large drills get it out to .9375 then over to a 16mm boring bar with ccmt inserts
Tried a selection of speeds, feeds and depths of cut and I am strugling to get a good surface finish. I am boring to a depth of just under 4 inches and the bar is acting like a bannana against this bronze
