I have been organising my back garage and I want to be able to store large items under the car which is normally raised permanently on a scissor lift:
This limits the height of a welding trolley and gas bottle. As can be seen above my SIP Tig on top of a generic 3 tier cart does not fit under the car.
So I looked up a few types of trolleys and R Tech did a decent looking one with 2no larger shelves. Crucially for me these shelves were overall lower than the other more common 3 tier carts which suits how I want to stow it away.
I will also need to make some mods to my R Tech cart to suit my needs.
I will be keeping the following on it:
SIP Tig with its 10L Argon bottle.
Rohr Mig with its 10L gas bottle.
I'll need to re cut the bottle bracket as it's designed for one no full size bottle. My plasma should make short work of that.
I'll also need to drop the top bar down to match the top of the regulator as that top bar currently snags the car on the lift. Easy enough mod too.
What I am surprised at is that these welding carts come from R Tech without cable stow hooks(?) Kind of a major oversight if you ask me, even the cheapie carts come with the cable hooks which are most needed so I'll have to fabricobble my own hooks and add them to both sides of it.
