Yep I have used the new 50 model, in fact it is the only plasma I have used, it made cuts through 1.2mm mild steel nicely and clean. It also has a high freq start that makes cutting through paint etc a doddle. I also used it for cutting up old brake discs (just playing) and on its lowest power setting this was easy. At one point I did not have the earth lead attached and was still chopping brake discs with ease and also the mild plate, this was not intentional but pehaps still worth a mention. Lovely bit of kit that I will one day buy for my self - the one I used belongs to a mate of mine...
Not yet still doing it (very impressed so far)is part 2 on you tube?
You would need to split the 3 phase (I do not know enough about 3 phase to advise you)and what are running costs like?
Part twoI've had the 40amp version for some time now and it's spot on don't know how I managed without one in the past it's got a different torch to the 50amp model and it's very easy to press the trigger accidental so I've bent a small peace of ally over the trigger it's much safer now
The cost of running it in my opinion is far less than using cutting discs you could use 3/4 discs and ten Minuits but with the plasma it's done in seconds
