It's just practice. I don't have a rotator either but I'd still be looking at 3 runs. The area that's nice and clear away from the bend I would attack from above and prop my finger on the bend. Doing that you'll get most if not all that area in one run then under the bend from the centre out to meet your other run same on the other side. 3 runs! Your circular run looks hexagonal as you haven't gone round the tube you've just joined up with small straight lines. It works yes but no harm in trying to do it in fewer runs every time.i have no positioner, so i am limited to stop, rotate, and repeat.
