hi I was just making an enquiry into pulse migs, I’m welding a fair bit of aluminium lately and my parweld 202 can’t keep up the duty cycle isn’t good enough, I’m at a crossroads, do I keep the 200 for precision work and smaller bits and get a pulse mig for longer runs and thicker sections or do I get a tig with more amps? I’m limited to single phase so basically im limited really to Oxford Tecarc, it’s either get a big tigmaker AC/DC, or else get one of there pulse migs. I have two good migs a Oxford 410 and a autostar 250, part of me thinks the pulse mig is a better all round buy, but been limited to single phase fronius lorch Kempii out of the question, I think it needs to be over 300 amps. I looked at the Paton but it’s only a 250 and it looks like an entry model. Does the Oxford come with hot start on pulse mig I wonder.
