Is anyone using a cover? I have a 160 ac/dc machine and wanted to get a cover for it when its just sitting out in my workshop, they seem to be pretty popular in the states but not so much here.
Any thing that prevents dust getting in there while its sitting around will be fine. Towels, sheets a box etc will all do the same job and cost you nothing.
The case cover shown does look handy in the respect it can be carried and traveled in its cover.
My little Rehm comes with a fully lined steel suit case for serious protection while in transit but it never lives in it. As the others say I just chuck a sheet over it if I remember.
Tbh it's really not important to try and protect it while it's sitting there unused as its own outer covers are doing this already. The real care to take with it is when it's running. Don't allow those fans to start drawing in volumes of metallic practicals from grinding activities and always let it run on for a good few mins after use to let the fan cool it down properly
Neither one of these more important steps are possible in a welders tee cosy.
