I want to use some scaffolding as posts for attaching decking planks as terracing in my garden.
The poles will be part concreted into the ground with the rest being covered in soil.
I intend filling the poles with either builders foam or sloppy / thin concrete mix. Which do people think would be best - foam or concrete ? Top will be sealed with a cap.
The part of the pole that will be covered in soil needs some sort of protection. Again what is recommended ? I was thinking of a couple of coats of bitumen - would that be sufficient ?
Thanks.
