I've been slowly getting on with my first spray job. It all generally went well, but then messed up on the last stage when I applied the lacquer.
The lacquer has quite serious orange peel. I saw it start on the first coat so I added thinner to the max allowed and turned up the gun pressure to the max recommended by Lechler (2.5 bar I think). But still same effect.
I gave it four coats thinking the thickness means maybe I can flat out the orange peel.
Could it be temperature? It must have been 10 C that day. I can heat my garage but the extractor makes it pointless.
