Whats the differences in what youd use 0.6mm and 0.8mm for? these welds look a little different, not sure if its because of the size of wire or just having to hold the torch different or what....
I use 0.6mm when welding 1mm or less steel. It is easier as you are putting down less metal. It ilso helps on welders with higher minimum currents.
I find 0.6mm is not as "clean" as 0.8mm. It is more sensitive to torch/work gap.
Yeah, looks like you got screwed by screwfix I made the mistake of buying junk wire and tips from a discount tool supplier. Ended up throwing them out as they flat out did not work.
