Morning all, this may be a very stupid question to those in the know but:
I am looking at importing an American 50's pickup from a dry state. I have a couple of possible vehicles that im interested in. One of them looks to have been sat in the sun for a number of years and looks like its been blasted with sand and dust and therefore has lost its paint. It looks like one side of the pickup is covered in surface rust. I want to restore the pickup and have a very good paint job done.
Here comes the stupid question:
Will the surface rust come back even if the shell is sandblasted and then etch primed? Does the sandblasting really get rid of ALL the rust?
So many restored cars start bubbling up again a year or two later.
Thanks, I hope some of you will chime in.
