Hello everbody and Happy New Year,
I am looking for some help I am ready to buy my first mig welder and have it narrowed it down to two the Portamig 215 or the SWP 280.
The portamig really talks for itself and has got a lot of praise on this forum but I am wondering has any one had any experience with the swp machine,I have looked at the spec and it comes with a 4 wheel drive unit for feeding wire (gear driven),higher amps than the portmig, the trafo and choke are copper wound same as the portamig, also comes with a 2 year warranty and a 3 year main trafo and choke warranty it states that is european made I have heard two stories on this one is that these are butters machines and the other is that they are made in eastern europe and lastly they can be purchased for just about the same price as a portamig here in Ireland with a agent.
All feedback will be appreciated
