Been trying to fit a plastic liner but it doesn't fit! Its a SIP liner from halfords where I bought argon and aluminium wire so I guessed it would fit a SIP machine
Its too fat to go through the hole in the brass bit in the machine and too short to (by 2 inches) compared to the original. I managed to wittle the end down enough to fit it through the brass bit in the machine but theres no getting the threaded little brass bit of the torch end (that screws the liner into the brass block on the swan kneck)
The machine is a 160a gas/gasless model that cam with a steel liner that has the brass threaded part crimped on permanently so theres no using that one.
Is there a better liner thats the right length, diameter and has the brass bit on? OR is there a brass bit I can use with this liner, since ive essentialy overcome the other issues? whats best?
