Hi guys,
I am after a TIG - I've decided that for cost reasons I could only actually manage a DC-DC model. I mainly want to weld mild + stainless, and think the loss of being able to weld ally is something I can live with.
I am wondering about the Invertor Fusion 200PHF - while I am sure I won't use the extra features of the (P) model initially, I expect that I will come to them in time.
My main questions are:
1) Can I run it (presumably at lower amperages) off a 13amp single phase domestic socket?
2) Do I need a foot pedal initially, or am I OK without? My initial welding project will involve welding stainless sheet and tube.
3) Google has told me that weldequip had some problems with the fusions in the past - are these generally felt to be performing well these days?
Thanks,
David
