For a few reasons I need a little clean & warm area in my workshop (that's quick and cheap to build or buy) and it dawned on me yesterday that a good way about it might be to make it out of clear perspex sheet and build it in a corner so it's just 2 walls and a ceiling. That way I wouldn't have to put lights in, I'd get light coming through from the "house lights".
I think in theory it's a sound enough idea. Has anyone else done this or something similar? Have you discovered any pitfalls or can you recommend any thickness of acrylic/perspex to go for? I'd probably make the ceiling at a slight slant so I could easily sweep off dust (my workshop is by an incredibly dusty farmyard + all the soot from the forge...)
Any pearls of perspex wisdom would be appreciated. Cheers
