Hi all, you'll have to go easy on me here as I'm (as your probably guessing from the post title) pretty new to the world of weld.
I did some oxyacetylene braising many years ago and a bit of mig on a car chassis.
I really want to learn the skill of welding. It's going to be small projects, bike frame repairs, modern car chassis, minor fabrications etc.
I saw this in ALDI and it seems to be reasonable for something to learn with. I realise it's right at the bottom spec end of mig welders (they call it flux core not MIG?)
To be honest I bought it as I resisted the urges of the TIG buzz boxes they have had in the past.
Having read up on it more after the event I'm wondering wether I should return it and save for a machine with shield gas and the ability to weld thicker material?
Should it stay or should it go now. Not used it yet so can return.
Thanks in advance
Tim
