Is it my jaded memory, or has the cost of paint stripper gone through the roof?
It's a long time since I bought any (read - years ago) and then it was a 5L tin of Nitromors. I don't recall getting a loan to buy it.
However, I now find it costs a bloody fortune. What happened? Has there been some ecological law that forbids the use of paint stripper and forces us to use useless stuff at high prices?
I thought the same, silly prices in recent times. Bought some dichloromethane instead, fine for dunking, but could do with ideas for making a gel for it.
I have just done a bike fuel tank with some wilko home brand paint and varnish stripper it worked well, I have had it a few years though so im not sure if the ingredients are the same.
