Had a quick look and couldn't find anything. Can I use an oxygen regulator for argon or CO2? It's just that I have a brand new boxed one that somebody gave to me.
Cheers Malcom. It's a BOC saffire two stage one, rated (according to the datasheet) 375 bar. just bought an inline bobbin flow guage off eBay for £5, will give it a go at the weekend!
Personally would not use an oxygen regulator for argon and co2, the regulator may have an outlet pressure of up to 2000 kpa, your flowmeter will only handle about 300 kpa at most. So you may take your eye out if the pressure is too high or the regulator is faulty and the pressure "creeps". Also seat material used for oxygen is normally different to co2. If the flow is too great your oxy reg will freeze up.
